Wes and his Dad in Colorado

John (Wes's Dad), Jason (Wes's brother) and April and their kids visited us in Colorado. Hi Nathan, Johanna and Ethan! Thanks for coming to stay with us. We hope you had fun.

Pie in the Face

Brooke I need your help to change the background on our blog. Obviously you can tell that this is not my stong suit. I love your halloween background so cute. But I thought all of you might like to see what I do in my spare time instead of doing our blog. No really this was for United Way. Everybody had to pay $20.00 to throw a pie at me. You guys just throw weiner darts at me for free. Have fun laughing------

Cutest Family Tree EVER!

Thanks to DeAnn this old door has become our family tree. Wes and I got this old door in Idaho Springs for our anniversary and DeAnn cut the vinyl for us. It is at the top of stairs and looks great. It is waiting for another baby name under Natalie and Jeremy. We already know it will be a few years before any names will be added to Bronson and Marie.

Hunting

Brooke---You won! It took me a long time to get these pictures posted. It seems like days go so fast. I know the guys had a fabulous time and the pictures prove it. What's even better is that it is over for a WHOLE year.(Kind of) No I am just kidding guys. I know you all look forward to bonding over the fire and animals. Bryce shoot the deer so he gets the meat. That did not stop Wes from bringing home more deer meat from SLC. So goodbye steak---hello deer!

Yard

We finally have GRASS!!!!

Wes did an amazing job on the yard. We were so excited to have the sod arrive, it really looks great. It will be nice not to have mud tracked in every day. We were thinking about the mud at the old house in Stansbury----Bryce would put on these old boots and tromp through the mud to feed Shay, then come back into the garage with the muddy boots. We have had lots of experience with mud! Since the backyard is done Wes has started the shed. (he can't sit still but he won't do INSIDE projects for me until winter.) The shed will be painted the same color as the house so it will look great too. For our anniversary we drove to Idaho Springs to pick up my new "old doors". They are so cute---just the perfect present. Ok DeAnn--time for some new vinyl cutting. Wes is getting ready to go on the hunt on Monday and is so excited to spend time with Bryce, Bronson and his friends. Maybe I can lose weight while he is gone since I won't have someone cooking me dinner every night. After the hunt I am sure we will post some of the pictures and see how much fun the guys had being together. Male bonding?? I am sure they don't miss their wives at all.

More pictures of the new house for Bronson

Megan's Birthday

On August 4th we were in North Carolina and flying home from the beach. I thought it would be neat to stay at the beach for as long as possible but that made it so we were in the airport for most of Megan's birthday. Megan's cake was a cupcake with a candle. The thing Megan wanted most was the new book from Stephanie Meyer. Her aunt Penny ordered the book and we finally had to tell Megan she could not go to the store at midnight and buy one. When we got home that night we went to dinner at TGIFridays. I think we were all tired but we celebrated in style with Megan having a fabulous desert. Megan got a beautiful necklace and earings from Bronson and Marie and a really cute hoodie from Bryce and Brooke. We got her......whatelse a gift card from Barnes and Noble. She will need her own library soon. Happy Birthday my darling daughter!

More Fun at the house

Wes has been working on the deck and the fence and has done an amazing job. Even Megan came out of her cave to help us paint the fence. The deck is pretty big compared to our one in SLC. We have a fireplace but it is only propane--no wood. I kind of miss smelling like a campfire---kind of. By "hunting time" we (as in WES)should have the yard pretty close to being done. Yeah--no mud this winter being tracked in. You will all be impressed when we show you the final pictures. Stay tuned.....

summer fun

Our summer has been fun even though we have moved to Denver, done a deck and are working on the fence. (No Vinyl in Denver?????) What is up with people? Through it all we found a way to have fun---hard to believe it.

The new house in Denver

Silver Plume Railroad

Jace and Grandpa Wes on the train in Denver. It was pouring rain almost the entire trip. Grandpa Wes and Bryce bought rain jackets and sat out in the open part of the train. Grandma Kareina, Megan, Brooke and Stetson sat under the covered part put we were all still sopping wet by the time the train ride was over. Jace got a weed eater and loved helping Grandpa in the yard.
